Called to Order: 7:30 PM under the M.G.L. Chapter 131, s.40 and the Hanson By-Law 1-13, s.5. by Philip R. Lindquist, Chairman in Meeting Room A on the top floor of the Town Hall.

Public Hearings
7:45 PM Notice of Intent for the installation of a 24’ round, above-ground pool and a 40 foot fence at 87 Wagon Trail, Assessor’s Map 113, Lot 49 for Christine Allen (DEP #175-) (New Hearing)
Craig Nicholson read the Public Hearing Notice and the abutter’s list was verified. Christine Allen made the presentation for a proposal to install a swimming pool and fence. The house was built in 1967 and the garage sometime in the 1980’s. This point was made as the house was built before the Rivers Protection Act was enacted. A DEP number had not been received as yet.

8:00 PM Continued After-the-Fact Notice of Intent to determine if an un-permitted fence constructed in the Riverfront area is allowed to remain in place at 7 Joshua Lane, Map 37, Lot 1-1N for Timothy Pratt, owner.
All of the abutters had been notified. The DEP # had not been issued. The Pratt’s have sent in the required fee and the Notice twice to the DEP. Rebecca will look into it. Mr. and Mrs. Pratt have promised to protect the remaining, undisturbed riverfront area in perpetuity in exchange for permitting the existing fence to remain in place.

Craig Nicholson read the Public Hearing Notice and the abutter’s list was verified. Alan Dias made the presentation of the proposal for a new septic system.

Appointments
8:15 PM Appointment with Roy Vinton. Mr. Vinton discussed the drainage issue at Valley Forge Road. He had submitted plans to the Planning Board previously and wanted to keep the Conservation Commission informed. He had changed the location of a catch basin and cleaned out a previously clogged basin which dramatically improved drainage on the cul-de-sac.

Discussions
Letter from Dick Harris, Highway Surveyor - Phil read the letter into the record regarding the maintenance of drainage easements at Brookside Estates
Pleasant St., Chapter 40B – Phil Lindquist informed the Conservation Commission that the project could possibly be scaled back according to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Dunham Farms, Chapter 40B on Main Street, site inspection report – Ron Grattan suggested that the agent should inspect. He had made an initial inspection. The haybales were installed and there apparently was cutting beyond the siltation control.
Biodiversity Week in June – see brochure

Rebecca will gather information in regards to the event.
Dennis O’Connoll, an abutter to the owner of 81 Main St. made a complaint with regard to un-permitted construction of a fence and deck in his neighbors yard. He requested that a Cease and Desist be issued and that the Commission make an inquiry into the situation.
